Originally developed as a feature adaptation, the thought was re-imagined as a television series for Netflix when the service had given the assembly a series order for a primary season. Filming takes place in multiples locations in Spain.

The series is narrated and led by Portuguese actress Alba Baptista within the role of Ava Silva, a tetraplegic orphan who discovers she now has powers which force her to hitch an ancient order of warriors nuns. The series marks Baptista’s English-language debut. The cast also features Toya Turner, Thekla Reuten, Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri-Young and Tristan Ulloa.

I like the concept, however recycled teenage dialogues are making it very difficult to concetrate. albeit it seems that the audience are 12-16 yo teenagers it still are often tons of fun for the older groups. this is often not that. Way too cringy and cliché. Main character looks and acts sort of a younger version of Ellen Page with no charisma of her own. I watched almost everything on Netflix (with no criteria whatsoever) but was pretty dissapointed by this one. Would recommend pass if you’re older than 16.
