The Gentlemen StoryLine –
The Gentlemen (Movie) : American businessman Mickey Pearson has created a highly profitable marijuana empire in London, and he’s looking to live his business. When word gets out, it triggers plots, schemes, bribery, and blackmail in an effort to steal his domain out from under him.
The film begins with Pearson getting shot during a bar. Fletcher (Hugh Grant), a personal eye and aspiring screenwriter is used by a newspaper to research his demise. Looking to take advantage of his findings, Fletcher then blackmails Ray (Charlie Hunnam), Pearson’s chief assistant . His detailed account resulting from his investigation takes the story back and forward from the opening, exposing British crime underworld[6] and therefore the host of colourful figures that seek to steal Pearson’s business and domain.

Heavy on the dialogue to start with as you’d expect with Guy Ritchie and his liking of the banter. Was rather impressed with Hugh Grant portraying the character he did, which was unlike his usual type-cast role. actually the delivery of all attributed to the success of the narrative generally .
Stylistically, it’s considerably a man Ritchie film and seemingly a touch more composed than his earlier works. The likes of Snatch and Lock, Stock… were along time ago, so we’ll call it maturity for lack of a far better word.
