Maternal Secrets 2018 Full Movie Review:
Nothing good happens. Very simple setup. Bad acting. Very very very slow. Could have been 10-15 minutes while having same content There’s too many flashbacks in this movie and you feel you’re in a time warp when you’re watching it. 18 months earlier, present day, 2 hours earlier – you get it. Still, the Bermuda cinematography was breathtaking. But it couldn’t save this movie and a waste of big star talent Kelly McGillis and Kate Mansi. Would not watch again!
Maternal Secrets (2018) – Storyline :
When a US state senator goes missing on vacation in Bermuda, his pregnant girlfriend Aubrey searches for answers. What she learns is his estranged mother is on the island and knows more about the disappearance than she is letting on “Maternal Secrets” is a pretty good Lifetime movie. It has beautiful location photography and a good cast. Kate Mansi is quite dreamy looking and does a very nice job. Kelly McGillis delivers a terrific performance. She’s a lot of fun to watch. The story has a few too many flashbacks but that’s not a deal breaker. Warts and all, I liked “Maternal Secrets”. Honorable mention: Brooke Burfitt’s costume designer.
