It is the fourth main installment in the Jackass film series, following Jackass 3D (2010). The film stars original Jackass members Knoxville, Steve-O, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, newcomers to the Jackass crew, and celebrity guests.

Jackass Forever is a compilation of stunts, skits and pranks intercut with on-set talking heads with its cast. The film begins with a tribute to kaiju movies, in what appears to be a city being overrun by a giant green monster. In reality, it is Chris Pontius’ penis painted green over a small set of a city intercut with the cast members running through a life-size set of the same city. The intro ends with the “monster” bitten by a snapping turtle and Johnny Knoxville’s intro, “Hello, I’m Johnny Knoxville, welcome to Jackass!” Stunts and pranks with the main cast include Johnny Knoxville facing a bull resulting in dangerous consequences, Steve-O having his penis used as a beehive, Chris Pontius’ penis being used as the paddle for paddle ball, Dave England getting pig semen dumped on him, a vulture eating pieces of meat off Wee Man’s body, Ehren McGhehey being subjected to painful tests with an athletic cup, and Preston Lacy’s testicles being used as a human punching bag. The newcomers are also featured in many of the stunts and pranks, including Jasper Dolphin being shot off a ramp by large industrial fans while he’s holding a parachute, Rachel Wolfson having a scorpion sting her lips, Poopies fighting off a Texas Ratsnake, Zach Holmes gliding down into a bed of cactuses, and Eric Manaka riding a bicycle full speed into a false wall. The final stunt, Vomitron, features Zach, Dave, Eric, Poopies, Steve-O and Jasper drinking milk while strapped to a high-speed carousel. As they start vomiting, Knoxville and the rest of the cast initiate an attack involving paintball guns, a tennis machine and multiple explosions. After assuring the stunt is over, one big explosion is set off, surprising the victims of the stunt.

Review of Jackass 4.5 (2022 Movie):

The worst of the series, offering nothing new and distinguishing itself only through an uptick in male nudity and genital trauma, Jackass Forever looks so much more artificial, corporate and scripted by committee than its humble but infectiously exciting beginnings, so many years ago. The two new diversity hires add nothing and look embarrassingly out of place every time they appear onscreen: it would have made much more sense for the makers to have just found some young skateboarding kids on YouTube who are actually doing comparable things for the love of it to take the place of the brittle-boned granddads in the more dangerous stunts, but instead the producers have forced in two strangers who look like they’ve just been ubered-over from central casting, selected exclusively for their skin colour and gender, who look like they would never have chosen to do this themselves in a million years.

The inescapable truth is Jackass Forever is the spectacle of hard-up carnival geeks scraping at the ground beneath the bottom of the barrel, but I will begrudgingly admit there’s still a few laughs they dug up there. I did write a longer review the other day that got rejected. I assume because some of the wording was not acceptable to the IMDB review team. So, I will refrain from using the same language. I will stick with my opinion though that this production should only appeal to a fringe audience that seem to think that male genital bashing and torture seem to have some entertaining value. It is in my opinion absolute rubbish. Not comedy, not entertaining, just sick.
