Jack Hunter and the Lost Treasure of Ugarit Movie – Storyline :
Jack Hunter Part 1 PLOT Young archaeologist Jack Hunter planned only to take a picture of a cuneiform tablet from once unsurpassed Mesopotmian metropolis Ugarit in present Syria, but is caught and has to steal it from a private museum in France. He refuses to join his mentor, professor Frederic ‘Freddie’ Shaffer, who believes the poem is a coded treasure map, on a relic hunt, until his friend is murdered to steal it. Obvious suspect is Syrian artifact trader Ali, so Jack flies to Damascas. There he must accept working with local, US-educated colleague Nadia and her driver Tariq. Their lives are threatened during the long relic quest, for one by common nemesis Albert Littman, but another secret lurks too.

JACK HUNTER: THE LOST TREASURE OF UGARIT is that the first of three made-for-TV Indiana Jones rip-offs featuring uniformly poor production values and a few appallingly wooden acting. it is the better of the trilogy, because the two other films somehow manage to be even worse; a minimum of this features a slightly more detailed plot going for it.
In essence, everyone’s least favourite Indiana Jones impersonator travels to Syria so as to research an ancient cuneiform tablet. Whilst there, however, he becomes drawn into a murderous conspiracy featuring various competing factions and international villains. Life soon becomes a life or death struggle for survival.
