Chasing Mavericks Movie – Storyline :
The inspirational true story of real world surfing phenomenon Jay Moriarity. When 15 year old Jay discovers that the mythic Mavericks surf break, one among the most important waves on Earth, isn’t only real, but exists just miles from his Santa Cruz home, he enlists the assistance of local legend Frosty Hesson to coach him to survive it. Stunning, nostalgic ocean/beach/surf/coastside visuals, and a watery-emotional story combine to pique any Half Moon Bay romantic to smile, point, shake their head…and gasp with awe. It’s, of course, a five-star Flic on behalf of me (I am from Half Moon Bay); I’m sure anyone not from Half Moon Bay will need to provides it a minimum of a four. within the end, albeit it’s a romance , it is a surf movie–and an honest one. From what i do know of surfing, i do not think this tells the entire story, but i feel it is a good start. I pray that it opens the door for more stories of this subculture to be told. Bravo to all or any people who took great risks developing this saga, both before and through .
