Action Point (2018) Movie – Storyline:
D.C. is that the crackpot owner of Action Point — a low-rent, out-of-control funfair where the rides are designed with minimum safety for max fun. even as his estranged daughter Boogie involves visit, a company mega-park opens nearby and jeopardizes the longer term of Action Point. to save lots of his beloved park and his relationship with Boogie, D.C. and his loony crew of misfits must risk everything to tug out all the stops and save the day.
Deshawn Chico “D.C.” Carver during a visit from his granddaughter narrates his experiences about when he owned what he refers to as one of the greatest amusement parks of all time.
Many years ago, D.C. was the crackpot owner of Action Point, a low-rent, out-of-control amusement park with dangerous rides. Despite the immense danger due to inexperienced and untrained staff, poorly designed rides, and minimal low quality maintenance, the park was popular with kids due to being the only amusement park around. However, during one season, a new amusement park, ‘7 Parks’, with higher safety standards than Action Point opens up and begins to steal its clientele. D.C. is also pressured by his loan officer Knoblach into selling his land due to his failure to pay off a $100,000 loan which will be nearly impossible due to the new competition. Also, his estranged teenage daughter Boogie comes to visit and begins to help out at the park as a summer job.
Action Point Full Movie Review:
Well, the bar is about pretty low considering the cast that stars during this movie. With a bunch of the people from “Jackass”, then I quite already knew what i used to be stepping into here before sitting right down to watch “Action Point”.
And true enough, this was essentially just an episode of “Jackass” upon which that they had slapped the illusion of it being an actual movie. Sure, that they had something that resembled a storyline, but let’s be honest, this is often all about the stunts, pranks and absurdity of what people are willing to place themselves (and others) through so as for creating entertainment.
